Allison Scagliotti, an 18 year old actress born in California, is more commonly known for her role in the teenage Disney Channel show, Drake & Josh, as the character Mindy Crenshaw. She has also starred in various episodes of Zoey 101, and One Tree Hill. Scagliotti now has a role in the new SyFy show, Warehouse 13, a show dedicated to the finding and preserving of unusual objects that generally don’t spark the interest of most people, playing the role of Claudia.
Since she was a child, Allison always had more of an inclination for theatre, art, and simply performing, than she did for sports, as she claims she was never really very good at them. Eventually, she became involved in school drama programs, where she claims she “found an outlet for [her] tendency to put on a show.” As a teen, she moved to Los Angeles for film and television and met an acting coach, and from there, her career as an actress began to soar, with the acceptance of many of the aforementioned roles. Aside from her interests in television in acting, Allison Scagliotti has various other interests that she would gladly pick up and pursue as a career if acting did not work out for her. She believes herself to be smart and sassy, much like her character in Warehouse 13, and is passionate about both music and literature, and therefore jobs such as a columnist in a magazine or a newspaper, are things she would “run to in a second.” Scagliotti also says that she would love to take a different role on the television show and movie making business by “get[ting] behind the camera and start running the show.”
Alongside her acting career, Allison is keeping up with her college education as well. She hopes to receive her AA degree in English, and has said that this is one of her major priorities. From her point of view, it isn’t enough to just star in television shows and movies, she also wants to attain something that was achieved through her own hard work, and not with the help of others, something she can be proud of, in addition to her on-screen work. As young as Scagliotti may be, she has already set quite a mature goal for herself: she strives to be happy, and quotes a bottle cap in saying that, “Happiness is the journey, right?”
