uglybetty.jpgThis week, after the success of Marc’s promotion, Betty is overjoyed to get a BLOBBY from the Black and Latino Organization of Bloggers. She is allowed to choose someone to award her and immediately asks Daniel.

To Wilhelmina’s horror, she finds a drag queen impersonating her called ‘Wilheldiva Hater.’  She sees the cabaret show and is insulted by his interpretation of her, though Marc and Claire feel that it is uncanny.

Amanda realizes that she’s the only one lately, who hasn’t been promoted and asks Daniel to make her his assistant again. He agrees, but with one condition; she must find a replacement for her receptionist post and who better than her old friend, Helen.

Betty is left embarrassed in front of an interviewer from BLOB as Daniel steps in and informing them about Betty’s fashion disasters when she first begun, and how in his eyes, she would always be his little assistant. She is annoyed with him and therefore gives him a taste of his own medicine. Whilst conducting an interview with film director Diego Rodriguez, Daniel is left humiliated as he tries to steal Betty’s research book to seem as if he was a huge fan and expert like Betty. She tells Diego how new Daniel is to the films and that he only watches the nude scenes. Daniel is riled by Betty, and in the heat of the moment insults the fans of Betty’s blog, ‘Bettyheads’.

Venting over her bosses outburst, Betty decides to take it further by writing about him on her blog. Another argument between Betty and Daniel leads to Betty telling him not to come to the awards to present her with the BLOBBY.

Meanwhile, back at Mode, after warning to shut down the cabaret act, Wilhelmina hires ‘Wilheldiva’ to impersonate her at the tedious charity events that she so hates.  Her plan works out perfectly, as no one realizes the difference. Ugly Betty fans will know that the actor playing ‘Wilheldiva,’ Chris Williams, is in fact Vanessa Williams’ brother. We see the rare kind side to Wilhelmina this week, as she gives permission for Wilheldiva to continue the show and has even gets him a raise.

Amanda finds it hard to fire Helen as she feels sorry for her and in the end, to Marc’s horror, ends up telling her she’s fired but then letting her live in their apartment.

It takes Amanda to show Daniel that he is in fact threatened by Betty’s huge success and decides to go to the BLOBBY Awards, admitting to Betty that she intimidates him and that he admires her for achieving  more in three years, than the whole of his life.
