After the shocking news of Mr. Bowman's death last episode, most of the characters in The Secret Life run to console Grace. Adrian is the first to attempt to console Grace, since she claims she is Grace's best friend. Even Amy and Anne go over to the Bowman's house to bring by some food. They even find George there consoling Mrs. Bowman, who is his ex-wife. Anne is convinced George is still in love with Mrs. Bowman.
Ben gets his first stint of babysitting John, without Amy's permission. Amy is upset because she doesn't think Ben can handle it, which she clearly was right about. As soon as John starts crying, Ben calls his father and his girlfriend, who are waiting outside. While waiting, Mr. Boykewich proposes to his girlfriend, which we know was the prostitute that Tom paid for last season. She admits to him that she is married to another man, whom she hasn't seen in years. Still they agree to marry. Anne and David finally discuss the pregnancy, as well as the challenges that come along with it. So far, David seems happy with the unexpected event. Meanwhile Ashley asks George about his vasectomy, and whether the baby could be his or not. She figures out that he never actually had a vasectomy, which means Anne's baby could very well be his. This is panning out to be very interesting. Looks like George may be a parent again as well. Adrian's father is still in the picture, trying his hardest to be father of the year. After lecturing Adrian and Ricky as usual, he breaks some good news to Adrian. He admits that he is going to ask her mother to move into a house with him with Adrian included. This will be the first time Adrian has a real home, and family and she is overjoyed by it. The entire episode revolves around Grace truly thinking her fathers death was a result of her having premarital sex. Tom tells her they have to think of their mother, because unlike their father, she isn't in heaven. Meanwhile Jack goes to see Grace and also tries to convince her that her father's death was not her fault. Grace breaks down and tells Jack that she doesn't love him, and that she wants him to stop loving her. She also claims she is never having sex ever again. We witness how upsetting her breakdown is to Jack. We can only imagine what future episodes this season will hold for Grace, Amy and the others. Don't forget to watch on Monday nights!
