In last week's episode, Grace is convinced that she is the reason that her father is dead. Her guilt crosses over to this weeks episode, as everyone prepares for Mr. Bowman's funeral. Despite multiple pleas by her family and friends, Grace refuses to go to her father funeral, fearing that she disappointed him. Even Jack's step-father stops over to see Grace to persuade her to attend the funeral.
Everyone at school thinks that they are friends with Grace, and believes they should attend the funeral. Unfortunately, both Amy and Ben are scheduled to work that afternoon. Amy of course tries to get out of work, because she suddenly thinks Grace and her are best friends. Mr. Boykewich even decides to work in the butcher shop that afternoon with Ben. After lecturing Ben about not having sex, they get into a fight and Ben ends up quitting his job. That sure was responsible of him. At school, news spread about Grace's refusal to attend the funeral and students are taking bets on whether or not she will actually go. Adrian and Jack meet in the hallway and Jack now blames Adrian for Mr. Bowman's death. Seriously, this is getting out of control. Jack claims that because he had sex with Adrian, Grace had sex with him and now hates him. Adrian gets into a second argument with Ricky, after he doesn't want to go to the funeral with her because they might look like a couple. News flash, Ricky doesn't love Adrian, we already knew this. At home, Adrian admits to her father that she is going to stop having sex. Too bad we've heard that from Adrian before. Anne and George talk about their divorce, which was put on hold. What starts out civil ends up turning into an argument between the two about splitting up property. At work, Anne and David discuss the baby and Anne still thinks that the pregnancy is a bit odd since they were both careful. Meanwhile, Ashley continues to question her father about whether he could be the baby's father or not. She's not convinced that David is the father, and viewers probably aren't either. At Mr. Bowman's funeral, Ricky is determined to get Grace to exit the limo and attend the ceremony. He ends up calling her a hypocrite because she believes that Jesus forgives all, yet she won't forgive herself for having premarital sex. Ricky continuously tells Grace that she will regret not going to her father's funeral and he would rather her be mad at him for making her go, then regret it. He succeeds and Grace attends the ceremony. We see that Mr. Bowman's ashes were scattered at his favorite place – the golf course. Don't forget to tune in next week! Quote this article on your site
