Jessica Simpson on tour now!

When 21-year-old Ryan Cabrera stepped on to the stage I wasn't sure what to expect. But, as soon as he started any doubts that I might have had were quickly blown away. From his upcoming album titled, "Take It All Away" he played six songs, including his hit single "On the Way Down." He put on an amazing show and also connected with the crowd in a way that not too many artists can. He had everyone laughing when he revealed a shirt that said he had Nick before Jessica. He ended his set by telling fans that he would be giving out 300 signed samplers. It was an incredible sight watching probably a thousand people running toward the booth to be the first in line.

There was the typical intermission between Ryan and Jessica's performances. Since this was an outside venue it allowed for it to get dark. I have to admit that I was a little anxious about Jessica's performance and she definitely outdid herself once again. Although she was recovering from a kidney infection she still managed to put on a spectacular show. Following doctors orders, she sipped on a variety of flavors of Gatorade throughout the night. I was afraid she was going to spill it all over herself several times. Near the beginning of the show she had to pause for a moment to re-adjust her outfit, jokingly saying, "I don't want to pull a Janet Jackson. There will be no wardrobe malfunctions this evening." Almost all of the songs she performed were off her new album, "In This Skin." As we have all witnessed before, Jessica has quite a remarkable voice. She managed to hit and hold higher notes than I thought possible.

Although the show was simple it was one of the best shows I've seen.

Rachael Lampa in stores!

Popular Christian recording artist, Rachael Lampa is releasing her third studio album on July 27th. This self-titled CD has 11 songs, ranging from slow ballads, to upbeat songs. One of my favorite songs on the record is "All this Time," a slow ballad with a good message. Another great song is "No Other One" which has a great beat and makes you want to get up and dance. The rest of the album is pretty much the same and very typical of a young artist. Although the CD is not the best, it is definitely not the worst. It's not my style, but it may be right for you!
