Every sport has its crossover player. The player that you start seeing in billboards and print ads in every magazine you pick up. Soccer has David Beckham. Tennis has Andy Roddick. Baseball has both Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez. Basketball has Kobe Bryant. And, football has Tom Brady.
You’ve seen New England Patriots Quarterback, but you might not even have realized that it was the man trying to make history yet again. You might only recognize him as that model that you’ve seen through The GAP window. Brady is more than just a pretty face, he is a record holding football player. But, before choosing his career in football, Brady had also been drafted in the 18th round of the ’95 baseball draft as a catcher for the Montreal Expos.

This 6’4" Californian brought the New England Patriots two Super Bowl wins and is hoping for his third this year. Brady is the first quarterback to start and win two Super Bowls before his 27th birthday. Brady brought the Patriots to victory in Super Bowl XXXVI, at 24, and then again Super Bowl XXXVIII, at 26. He was MVP for both Super Bowls and he became only the fourth player in Super Bowl history to earn multiple MVP awards. He also owns the Super Bowl record for pass completions in a game, connecting 32 passes in Super Bowl XXXVIII. Brady was also only the second quarterback to win the Super Bowl in the year of his first career start.
Brady is not only a football player, but also a celebrity. He was in Stuck on You with Matt Damon, and, in true celebrity fashion, Brady is reportedly engaged to Bridget Monayhan (The Recruit). So, the next time you tune in to watch a Patriots game, make sure you pay extra attention to Number 12, the Quarterback, Tom Brady.
