Hot Spots: Orlando - World's Largest McDonald's

We have all been to a McDonalds at some point in our lives, some more than others. But, have you ever been to the World’s Largest McDonalds? Not to brag or anything, but I have.

Orlando is known as the vacation capital of the world and most likely the favorite vacation spot of millions of kids, so it makes total sense that Orlando is also the home of the World’s Largest McDonalds. Located near Universal Studios at the intersection of International Drive and Sand Lake Road, you can’t miss this McDonalds shaped like a box of fries.

This massive, two story McDonalds features the chain’s first animatronic characters, more than 60 video games, and the World’s Largest PlayPlace. Aside from the games, this McDonalds also has some scrumptious food. The restaurant has a full Bistro menu.

The service is slightly different than your regular hometown McDonalds, at least the ones I’ve been in. Here you order your food at one spot, then walk forward to the counter and pay there. When you first walk in the door it can be a little overwhelming at the size and excitement. The smell is also different from your typical McDonalds, here you don’t smell the trademark McDonalds fries, I would assume that this is due to Bistro offerings.

If you are done eating and done playing video games, then head up the elevator (yes, elevator in a McDonalds) and check out the 25,000 tubular feet of twisting, super-fast slides including the 60 foot super slide.

Overall, you can spend hours of fun at the World’s Largest McDonalds and best of all it is relatively cheap!
