Hot Spots: Four Points by Sheraton Chicago

What an incredible weekend. Staying at the Four Points by Sheraton in the heart of Chicago was pure luxury. I want to buy the bed for my own home, it’s probably the best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time. The beautiful linens are so plush with layer upon layer of soft sheets and blankets, and lots of pillows that invite you to stay there forever.

The Junior Suite that I stayed in offers a microwave, mini-refrigerator, and coffee maker in a little nook. It also had a separate area with a couch and desk with internet service. Everything in the room says class from the top of the line bed linens, coffee mugs and glasses to the Moen water faucets and marble countertops in the bathroom. They also offer a breathtaking pool and hot tubs area indoors on the 5th floor with an outside lounge area if you want to take in some sun.

The Four Points by Sheraton Chicago is located on Rush Street which is Chicago’s strip for bars and clubs, from piano bars to hip-hop clubs, to meet everyone’s needs. The hotel is only one block from Michigan Avenue, the world-famous Magnificent Mile, with tons of great shopping including Niketown, American Girl Place, and the Disney store. Also, make sure to check out the Hancock Tower to see the great sights from the top. Let’s not forget the tasty restaurants surrounding the hotel. The Cheesecake Factory is north by the Hancock Tower and has wonderful food and even better desserts. You can also order room service from Lawry’s across the street which has delicious ribs. I decided on the ESPN Zone, which is filled with lots of TV’s and a full arcade upstairs, if you’re a sports fanatic. The great food and exciting atmosphere made for a very pleasurable dining experience.

I really enjoyed walking around Chicago so I could see everything up close and stop to admire place as I went. With the CTA and South Shore Train lines just a few blocks south on Randolph Street it made it very convenient to walk place to place and to stop at Millenium Park while taking in various music performances before I left the Windy City.

With lots of extra amenities, meeting rooms, bars, and restaurants surrounding the area the Four Points by Sheraton Chicago makes for a wonderful weekend getaway. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Room rates vary, however it's typically around $200/night. Check out the official site at FourPointsbySheraton.com
