When Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey got married it surprised a lot of people. They had been together and then separated and then gotten back together and then it seemed like all of a sudden they were married. When they signed on to do the MTV reality show, Newlyweds, it was another surprise. With their show, they have managed to steal the hearts of millions and have also managed to always keep us laughing. Even amid talks of a possible break-up, Nick and Jessica still remain strong.

I wanted to find out what the general opinion of Nick and Jessica was, so I hit the streets and this is what I found.

Steve Roelfs, a 17-year old junior, didn't have much to say about Nick or Jessica. "Jessica Simpson is really hot and she has a pretty good voice, I guess. She doesn't really sing my kind of music, but whatever. She seems really dumb, I mean, come on, who confuses chicken and tuna? That just doesn't happen to most people." Well, I guess that is true. How many people do you know who confuse tuna and chicken? Not many, I'm sure (and if they do, I'm sure they would never admit it). "Nick Lachey? Oh, he was in 98 degrees! Man, I hated that band. They sucked. Again, not at all my kind of music, so maybe I'm not a very good judge. And that show, Newlyweds, I mean seriously! I watched it once and only for five seconds because I could feel my IQ dropping!" Wow, those are some pretty strong feelings!

Amanda Richart, a 17-year old sophomore, is in love with the show Newlyweds. "I love that show! I watch it every time it is on and I love it when they show reruns! I really wanted the first season on DVD, because it is one of my favorite shows! Jessica Simpson is so beautiful, even if she says dumb stuff sometimes. She seems really sweet and incredibly down to earth and she doesn't seem like a diva, like a lot of other stars do." Well, it seems like Amanda really likes Jessica, which is great! Now lets see if she feels the same way about Nick! "Nick seems really cool and he is really hot! He seems like he is smarter than Jessica and sometimes it seems like she annoys him. But then again, everyone is annoying sometimes. I can totally see why they are married! They are such a cute couple and they seem like one of the most normal, down to earth couples in Hollywood!"

This time, since we were featuring a happy couple, I thought I would try to find a couple to talk to. I got lucky and happened to find one!

Jason Alexander, a 30-year old construction worker heard about Jessica and Nick from his wife. He didn't really have much to say, but this is what I could drag out of him. "I've seen a few pictures of Jessica and she is really pretty. I don't know who Nick is, but I guess he was in a band a few years back. I saw the show, Newlyweds, once and I didn't really like it, but whatever. My wife likes it and so does my 10-year old daughter, so I have to hear about them a lot. From what I've heard, she seems to be really stupid but then again, when you look that good you don't have to be smart."

Stephanie Alexander, a 29-year old homemaker is Jason's wife and she is not afraid to admit that she is addicted to Newlyweds. "I love it! It is my favorite show of all time! It is just really great! It is funny and Nick and Jessica are so cute! I watch the show with my daughter and she really loves it, too. For her birthday I am planning on getting her the first season on DVD. It will actually be more of a present for me then for her, but she doesn't need to know that! Sometimes I make my husband watch it with me, but he always tries to find something else to do. Its kind of nice, because more than once he has ended up doing the dishes or some other household chore to avoid watching it. Jessica Simpson is really pretty and Nick is really cute, so they make a great couple and they have a hilarious show!"

Well, there you have it. Everyone seems to have a slightly different opinion about the couple but everyone seems to agree on one thing and that is that Jessica has had some pretty dumb moments. Personally, I really like Nick and Jessica. I enjoy their music and their show!
