The Hottest Pop Star Trends in Music Video's

Trends come and go quickly with time, and most of the pop stars we idolize tend to have the hottest gear with each new music video they release. Some of the trends in their videos really impact our style; going back to Nirvana giving birth to the “grunge” era to Britney’s hot schoolgirl image to Eminem’s bleached hair and white tank, everyone wants to look like the stars they idolize on MTV, VH1, and MMusa (now Fuse). There is no better way to catch up with the latest fashions as they are created other than watching what our favorite pop stars are sporting in latest music videos.

Possibly the most recent trend showing up in videos for girls are high-heeled construction stilettos. These boots are just like the lace up tan Timberland boots that have always been popular, but the stiletto boots bring a new sexy/urban look to the boots. You can see Beyonce wearing tan stiletto boots in her video with Jay-Z for “Bonnie and Clyde”. Also, Mariah Carey, another hot diva, sports them in her latest video for “Boy (I Need You)”, but Mariah chose the pink Timberland stilettos, just because pink is her favorite color. Jennifer Lopez obviously loves these boots as well. She actually wore them in her last two music videos for “Jenny From The Block” and “All I Have”.

Going back to Mariah, she has finished shooting her new music video with Busta Rhymes called “I Know What You Want”. She describes her look in the video to MTV as “Harley Davidson meets R & B” and she mentioned that she looks like a “thug princess.” Only time will tell if any trends in this video, which is now on rotation at MTV, VH1, and MMusa (now Fuse), will catch on.

One diva whose style in her latest videos has caused some controversy with viewers is Christina Aguilera. Still, fashion Donatella Versace, who has her own successful clothing line, has publicly admired her style. Apparently Versace admires Christina’s fashion so much that she hired Christina to be the new face of a new Versace advertising campaign. However, maybe this new job will make the critics happy because she will be paid to put on clothes!

Moving on to the guys, Justin Timberlake just released a new video for “Rock Your Body”. His song and video has an 80’s Michael Jackson “Rock With You” vibe to it with the flashy lights and the simple setting. Still, Justin looks as handsome as ever. Looking mature, Justin sports a goatee as well as a sheik white outfit accessorized with a long chain wallet. Who knows, maybe this video along with the 80’s style music will be the next fad.
