It is almost September and you know what that means: Time to shop for shoes! You have probably been thinking about that one shoe you must have but know your parents are not going to fall for the 'everyone else is going to have them' routine. So, why not cut your parents some slack or maybe even your own bank account and try some of these less expensive shoes this year.

You do not always have to wear the latest trend to look fabulous, you can always go old-school and still look fashionable. Some great old school picks are Adidas Superstar (pictured, left). These old-school sneakers are great for any style. They look great on preps, trendy chicks and even skaters. And are very comfortable.

Lady Foot Locker one of my favorite stores has the best styles for all athletic girls. They carry Adidas Superstar for about $20-$50 and have practically every color and style. Another old-school favorite is the original Chuck Taylor All Stars (trucks; pictured, right). They come in high-top or low-top and also go great with everything. These can be found at Journeys for between $20-$40.

For a more dressy look, the London Underground O'Neil shoe (pictured, left) is great. They are low heel but dressy and very comfortable. They come in a variety of colors to match everything you wear. Cost: about $30. This shoe can also be found at Journeys.

If these shoes are still out of budget you can try Payless. You may be reluctant to buy from Payless, but in case you have not noticed they have really improved their shoe styles and made them more comfortable without changing the price. They have a really good selection of sandals at a low price. The Meena Flower Slide (pictured, right) is an example of their new shoes. They run for about $12.

Whatever you choose remember shoes complete the outfit. With the money you save you can buy yourself two pairs. Great for someone who does not like to wear the same thing twice. Your parents will be grateful with you for saving them money and your feet will look stylish.
