Twilight is not just any word. It is “the word.” It’s the one thing that can spark arguments or hour long conversations over the phone. You know why? Well, it’s due to the fact that there’s influenza that is currently going around. And no, it’s not swine flu – this virus is way more contagious. It’s called Twilight Fever. Girls and guys all over are going crazy for vampires, especially after Stephenie Meyer’s book ,Twilight. And for all you vampire lovers, here’s a great list of places to go to that are filled with great vampire stuff!
The Forks, WASHINGTON The Forks is probably the most obvious place for vampire lovers to go to. It is the main setting for the novel Twilight. The best thing about this place is that they have changed their Chamber of Commerce into the headquarter for Twilight fans, which is called the Twilight Visitors Center. Everything about this town is centered around Twilight. Even Stephenie Meyer came to give a visit and greet tourists! The best part is, is that you can even visit Bella Swan’s house! Speaking of houses, wouldn’t you like to spend the night at Edward Cullen’s house? Well now you can! The Cullen’s house which is next door to the Police Station is a beautiful bed and breakfast. They even have a whiteboard where they tell you where the Cullen Family is that day. Vancouver, CANADA Vancouver is the next big thing on any vampire lover’s destination list. Twilight was actually shot and directed in Vancouver – a place known for its tranquil nature. A good place to go to is "On Location Tours Vancouver" which is a movie locations tour company. “On Location Tours Vancouver” created a tour that is dedicated to the "Vampire, Werewolf and Human Love Story". Their tours are private(maxiumum 5 people per tour) so vampire lovers will receive very personalized attention. Portland, OREGON If all of you vampire lovers are simultaneously party people, here’s something you’d like to look out for. Portland hosts the ultimate social event of the haunting season called the "Gothic Victorian Ball”. This is where black-clad ladies and gentlemen dance to dark waltzes and party it up all night. It is said that in this ball, “It's like being transported back to a lavish ball in some 19th-Century vampire's castle! Transylvania, ROMANIA You know you’re a true vampire fan when you go to Transylvania . Transylvania is home to the legend Count Dracula – the vampire of all-time! Count Dracula was based on a real-life person who was an actual Prince. The castle is absolutely stunning and literally looks like it just popped out of a book! It’s so pretty that the castle is currently on the market for $135 million, although the sale will be under the condition that the next owner respect the history of the castle, still allows visitors. San Francisco, CALIFORNIA San Francisco's Nob Hill is a place of many secrets. Come take a tour of Grace Cathedral! The tour is presented from an eccentric 127-year old vampire! If you thought history was boring, wait until you take this tour. It literally is history with a twist. It is said that over 100 years, beneath the city lies many tunnels. And guess what? Vampires live in the tunnels below Nob Hill!
