It's no surprise that many of the signature New York based television shows and movies we have grown to love were not actually filmed in New York. The hit CW show, Gossip Girl, however, is one of the few that actually takes place on location in Manhattan.
Teen Scene was recently given the opportunity to experience the Gossip Girl tour in Manhattan. The show, which is mostly filmed on location, features numerous locations throughout Manhattan that many fans have come to recognize. The tour starts out at the infamous Palace Hotel in midtown Manhattan, which any fan of Gossip Girl knows, is home to the infamous Serena van der Woodsen. For the next three and a half hours, fans get to tour New York City in a luxury bus while a tour guide points out many of the familiar locations on the show. From homes and schools to restaurants and parks, the Gossip Girl tour has it all. Some of the signature locations on the tour include the Archibald residence, Constance Billard School for Girls, Henri Bendel, Babycakes bakery and much more. Fans even get the chance to hop off the bus and experience the locations hands on, including shopping. One great feature of the tour is that on the bus, fans get to see scenes from the show on screens as they are nearing the location stops. The tour guides will even get fans involved on the bus by quizzing them with Gossip Girl trivia and dishing the dirt on some behind-the-scenes information. Fans may be surprised to learn that the location used for Constance Billard School for Girls, is not actually a school in real life. But thats not the only inside dirt you will learn while on the tour. The Gossip Girl tour is definitely a great attraction for any Gossip Girl fan and will surely not disappoint. It is constantly changing and adding more attractions with each new episode of Gossip Girl. For more information on the Gossip Girl tour and other tour, visit www.screentours.com.
