The CouchSurfing Project (www.couchsurfing.org) is an online community of 1.4 million members in over 200 countries. This site, once registered, allows you to connect with others who are willing to provide sleeping arrangements free of charge, seek travel partners, and gather travel advice. It’s the most visited hospitality service site on the web for travel aficionados, according to ranking site Alexa.com. "CouchSurfing seeks to internationally network people and places, create educational exchanges, raise collective consciousness, spread tolerance, and facilitate cultural understanding", according to the creators.
Royal Caribbean’s newest cruise ship, the Oasis of the Seas, departed on in its maiden voyage this past December and is currently the largest passenger vessel in the world providing a one of a kind vacation opportunity. It can accommodate over 5,000 passengers and is eighteen decks high. Currently, it is sailing the Caribbean departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on 5 and 7 night cruises. Prices start at $729 per person. Its sister ship, the Allure of the Seas, is also expected to depart Fort Lauderdale in December 2011. Both ships were named by cruising enthusiasts via a contest held by the cruise line.
