gaming-sites.jpgAs an avid gamer, I love to find new and exciting sites on the web that offer both highly enjoyable gaming and a free experience too. I have put my top 3 online gaming websites into a chart. They are to be ranked in three ways: ease of use, amount of advertising and the amount of games the website hosts.
Starting off with Number 3: Mousebreaker.com
I used to love this site, until I found that they were changing their style to look like their competitor, Miniclip. Mousebreaker have a good selection of games, some games are even specifically for Mousebreaker which have proven to be big hits (blast billiards to name but one). It is set out in a very similar way as to Miniclip is (and Miniclip was first). There is a huge list of games at the bottom of the page, and also categories of which people can use to find the specific game. There are also the top 10 games, where the most popular ones can be found. There is quite a bit of advertising, some on their homepage, some once you have clicked the game and some as you are playing!

Rating: 3.5 stars for ease of use – similar to Miniclip, but still cramped. 2 stars for advertising – More advertising found here than most online gaming websites. 5 stars for amount of games – there are loads and some exclusive titles!

Next, Number 2: Miniclip.com
Miniclip is the home of computer gaming for the personal computer. They have hundreds of games on their website for all. You can find the newest and most popular games out at the moment and they make it a really enjoyable experience. You can  create your own Miniclip account and use it to show off your high-scores and chat with other players.

Miniclip is organized in a special way, you can find your favorite games by either: looking at the top 10 games, look in the categories of games or by looking at the complete list of games that they have. As for advertising, I found that although there was some advertising, they were not excessive and intrusive.

Rating: 4 stars for ease of use – looks a bit cramped with everything bundled into one place. 3 stars for advertising – there is advertising there and some adverts are in the games themselves. 5 stars for amount of games – there is a huge selection, check it out!

Finally (drum roll please), at Number 1: Agame.com
Although Agame is not such a bigger name to the likes of Miniclip and Mousebreaker, I still find that Agame is able to compete with the two. Agame is a site which is wholly dedicated to gaming and there are very few adverts being run on their pages. I found this to be a major factor that separated Agame from the others, as they are less about making money, and more about having fun. What I also liked about Agame, was that it was laid out in a much less cluttered way than the other two were. Agame is laid out with a good colour scheme and rounded rectangle shapes so that there are clear distinctions between different parts of the website. As for their collection of games, yes they may not have exclusive titles and a wealth of games like Miniclip boasts, but they do have a lot and apparently, I quote “new games are added everyday.”

Rating: 5 stars for ease of use – It was much easier to use than others due to colours and images. 5 stars for advertising – Although there was some, there certainly was much less than the others (barely noticeable). 4.5 stars for amount of games – They could improve by getting some exclusive titles and more games.
