NBC reps have confirmed exclusively with Insider Gossip that they have decided not to pick up the show “Windfall” for a second season. The show marked the return of Luke Perry to primetime television where he rose to fame in the 90’s on the hit show “Beverly Hills, 90210.” No reason was given for the cancellation, but it is believed to be due to low ratings. The show was never a major hit for the network, but had a fairly good sized loyal following.
I loved this show!!!!! I looked forward to it all week and saw every episode!!! I can’t believe NBC is doing this to me! I became obsessed with it shortly into the premiere episode!!! Damn you NBC!!!!! I was looking so forward to the next season-I just won’t watch NBC for anything anymore!

Frst of all the last show was preempted by the stupid BEARS football game…and I never got to see the fanale. NBC keeps canceling the new and fifferent programs like Surface was great. Canceled. Why can’t the new WB or Fox pick it up or something. The WB could use some good shows besides everybody hates Chris and the gilmore girls. Oh yeah suernatural is something a little fifferent. we get sick of seeing the law and order and court room drama’s over and over and I know more about committing a crime than I would ever care to. ABC hit is big with something different lke Lost although I wonder how long they can keep that going without giving us more info. 4400 and Eureka are cool different shows too….the network should think out of the box we are tired of the same ole same ole….

Yet again a desent show on NBC gets pulled. I often wonder if the execs at NBC even look at the shows they put on. Everytime they come up with an original idea, get a fanbase going, they pull the plug in order to stick yet another copy of a show that they already had on. Can you say Profiler, Pretender, those got pulled so we could watch the XFL. Bravo NBC, I wonder what winner we’ll end up with this time.

Windfall was the best show I have seen in a long, long time. Probably my favorite show since Melrose Place went off the air. Sure I watch Deperate Housewives but Windfall was 100 times better. We are sick of the reality shows. You need a good soap opera type show. This would knock Desperate Housewives and Greys Anatomy out of the water! You need to advertise it and show upcoming clips. I have told several people about the show and they are as hooked as I am. I was on the edge of my seat every Thursday. I don’t have time to watch much TV with 2 little kids at home but I never missed this show. Maybe we could call Aaron Spelling and see if he would continue the show on Fox or something!

I am terribly upset that Windfall has been cancelled. I want to know what happened to Frankie! I know several people who were also avid watchers of the show! Please bring Windfall back! The story was not over! I had a fit last Thursday when football was on instead! I never missed an episode and even recorded one a night I was out! I love ER too and I know that Windfall had ER’s spot over the summer, but I would skip an episode of ER to watch Windfall… It was/is a fantastic story!

I started watching Windfall from the very first episode. I am upset that it was cancelled. It came on pretty late on the east coast for me, at ten p.m. but I set up the DVR to record it. I loved how it the last show ended and I very upset that NBC has decided not to pick it up again next season.
Maybe someone else should. It was a good show and I agree that cancelling it just pisses me off.
I hope that another network picks the show up. It may have not been popular in numbers they way NBC had hoped , but the at least the followers where loyal. I am going back to watching CSI only again. At least with CBS I know I can count on them

I think NBC made a great BIG mistake by cancelling Windfall. I had it scheduled on my DVR so that I wouldn’t have to ever worry about missing an episode. When now there have been two Thursday’s that it didn’t record, I went online to find out what happened and I am VERY shocked and disapointed. Even my husband would watch it loyally, which is unusual for him. ER is all that NBC has left worth watching, and even that started to get boring. I hope that the executives at the other networks are more in tune with what the viewers want and pick it up. Windfall deserves another chance!!!

I’m extremely upset that NBC just decided to up and cancel this show. I don’t watch much “regular” TV, as I find most of the shows the same old….same old. Cable for me is the way to go……but then came this show. Don’t know why but it grabbed me instantly! I loved the cast & story lines! The least NBC could’ve done was pick up enough episodes to put a conclusion to it. NBC wonders why people don’t have the desire or the time to get “hooked”.
I know I’ll be the first one to shy away from NBC’s new dramas……..they’ll probably cancel them too!

My 16 year-old daughter and I faithfully watched every single show and absolutely loved all the simultaneous stories going on about each individual. It is just now fair to get the viewers so hooked on and involved in watching a show and then just end the show so abruptly. It seems we will never know what happens to Frankie or any body else. There was so much room for so many more exiciting episodes. This was a great show with a good story line. I am so sick of the stupid sit coms and watching dumb people who think they are funny. So now what we all get to look forward to is the same old same old on ER? I havent watched that show in seasons because it is so incredibly predictable, which is EXACTLY what Windfall was not. I hope that another network does pick it up, I will watch it and in addition not be loyal to your network any longer, I liked Earl, but could care less to continue to watch it now. Would have been nice to know this may have happened before getting interested in the storyline and then just be left hanging. This is absurd and a very poor decision on someones part. Please do not cancel Windfall — I actually hate t.v. but it was nice to finally have a show that was a bit of a “soap opera” but also down to earth. More of a reality. It is a great show and NBC should re-consider this choice. I am surprised you say low ratings, everyone I know watched the show. I used to have a group of women over each week and we would watch it. Earl started out funny but ended up being the same and boring.

I am saddened to hear that yoiu are canceling a show that had such a loyal fanbase, this was a great show so different from all the other programs on TV today. Now that you canceled it, anyway you can let us know how things were suppose to end up with everyone’s relationship.
I made sure the kids were in bed every nite and I was there staring at the screen watching like everyone else was. Maybe you need to reconsider cancelling the show. Windfall was great, a show for us full time working people to watch in the evening. Maybe consider playing some reruns on these episodes, more viewers may become interested, I was hooked!!!!! I think I must give NBC shows the death curse. I LOVED the sitcom Committed and it was given the axe after just one season. I can’t believe it’s happening again! I told EVERYONE how great Windfall was and that they should watch it and now it’s over. . .great. NBC should get rid of Kidnapped and put Windfall back on! Too bad, there were at least 25 of us that watched this show every week men included and we were really looking forward to the upcoming impending drama that was sure to happen with these characters. NBC should really re-think their position on cancelling this show. With a little more plot planning this show has the potential to rival Desperate Housewives in ratings with the right time slot. It would be nice to see a re-birth of this show perhaps again next summer or sooner.

overall it really was a pretty reasonable story line about ordinary people and there struggles with sudden wealth, there were so many things up in the air it really deserved a second season

I have been asking my friends and family for a while ” What night is winfall on again?” I checked the TV guide and didnt see it….so I decided to google winfall….It was really looking forward to watch my 3 favorite shows…winfall, Greys and DHW! What were you guys thing? Get rid of Earl or that new one, Sudio something……..2 bad shows……At least let us know what was goign to happen to them all!

I was very upset when I didn’t see Windfall being recorded anymore on my Tivo and now I just confirmed that it was cancelled. What a shame. It was a GREAT show. NBC needs to hire some new executives. I was also HOOKED every week!! I didn’t even get to see the finale due to a football game. Guess it doesn’t matter anyway. NBC STINKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You didn’t even give it a chance. A lot of great shows started out with a small audience and grew to be hits after time. Windfall definately had loyal viewes. TOO BAD

Also why has no one thought to them selfs to put it on a day when there is nothing on like sat,sundays,tues then with there improved adverts and right day to air it will fly through the roof with its ratings

I was just checking to see the season premiere date and WHAT??? Windfall cancelled???? Why?? This was a GREAT escape show with great characters!! I was totally hooked and watching a series is not my thing usually (except Deadwood on HBO ;). This is so, so disappointing!!!! At least you could have given us some closure with the characters.
And please Earl??? Talk about dumbing your audience completely down . . . well, that speaks volumes about NBC.

Windfall was easily my favorite show last season, even over LOST which has “jumped the shark!” I disagree with the desicion and wish that here was something we could do as viewers. i just hope that all the actors understand how heartbroken and disappointed the fans are and that we loved them all and would welcome their return anytime!!!

Let me just say that I usually dont like new shows….I stick to the ones I always watch like Big Brother, House, American Idol etc…when I saw previews of Windfall last year I knew that I wanted to see that show. I was instantly hooked and looked forward to every Thursday. You guys dont even have that many good shows—Only Deal or No Deal……

I think you should have cancelled any one of your reality shows and definitely left Windfall on your show roster. It was original and I looked forward to it every week. I really enjoyed watching Windfall. It was a show that got you hooked from the very beginning. You just had to watch it every week, you really did have to schedule your evenings around it. And there is a rule while Windfall is on there is NO TALKING, there is time for all that after the show goes off, but not before the previewes for the following week.Everyone loved it and misses it please bring it back.

Just checked in to see if NBC came to its senses and decided to bring back Winfall. What a disappointment to find out NBC still hasn’t bought it back. Maybe they should take a lesson on how to please their views and pay attention to what we want to watch. Plenty of people are complaining about this decision but NBC doesn’t seem to care about the viewer’s. What a shame.

There are stupider shows on the network and I’m sure that they dont get better ratings than what ‘Windfall’ got. The show kept people coming back week after week. NBC you guy’s suck, this is not the first time you cancled a show I was really into, Remember Another World, Santa Barbra, Beaches, and now this, and I have heard talk about you cancling Day of Our Lives and Passions, when that happens I will never watch your channel again along with hundreds of other viewers I know that watch them. I’m a mother of three, work a full time job and go to school full time, but I make time to watch my favorite shows they are the only break I get, I think you need to re think your choices, seems to me you have pissed a lot of people off, not a good way to gain rateings.

I just found out today after lookig at nbc’s summer line up that Windfall was cancelled. I never watch TV in the summer, but this show was different. It gave you insight on how it would feel to be rich, along with the troubles that money brings. Too bad that NBC didn’t give the show a chance. Especially when its a summer show and people usually don’t watch because they are out doing other things. We will be bored to death of more reality series that NBC is airing for the summer.

You do have a few good shows, but since Friends and Seinfeld have gone off the air your network has continued to suck. When the show Windfall began I thought, FINALLY NBC has realized they need to air something besides the typical dumbass reality shows, and predictable forensic/ cop shows. Please bring the show back. I totally agree, I cannot believe that Windfall was cancelled. I was just thinking about it and hoping it was going to start up again. I still have the last one recorded so that I could get caught up before it started up again. What a bummer. Next to Grey’s Anatomy I really thought this was going to be the next big show. I guess NBC will have to rely on Heroes to keep viewers, because that is the only other show I watched on their network. Bummed out in Texas!!

I have been watching NBC’s lineup the entire summer just anticipating the return of Windfall. I was SHOCKED and extremely disappointed to read it will not be returning! I can’t imagine that NBC would cancel such a great show—-one with such wonderful actors, story lines and large fan following. Maybe the low ratings had more to do with poor promotion on the part of NBC than the quality and entertainment of the show. I felt it was one of the best shows I had ever watched. There are not many shows that I just get HOOKED on, but this was one of them. My adult daughter, neighbors, sisters and co-workers all watched the show and we would talk about it between episodes. Who did NBC poll to get negative viewing results?……where did they go to find those people? ……somewhere without TV reception? I hope there is a way for NBC executives to recognize the number of households who would like to see this great show return. …… ATLEAST LET US SEE THE CONCLUSION TO THAT CLIFFHANGER! MERCY….THAT IS KILLING ME!

we counted down the days till the show aired again we would even tvo it so we could watch it again later..we wish you would consider brining it back that would be your best move..
