Luis grew up with Michael Jackson's songs and loves his music. He cites Michael Jackson as one of his main inspirations, along with Daft Punk, whose music  introduced him to the "electronic thing," as he puts it. Because of the amazing stage presence that both Michael Jackon and the band Daft Punk possessed, Luis believes that being able to give a great performance is essential. Although Luis' budget is a lot less than a band like Daft Punk's, the he always makes live shows as fun as possible. 

His new album has taken a different musical direction compared to his previous albums which were "all over the place,' according to Luis. This one being more "upbeat and fun" and having a little less "blatant electronic stuff" and narrowing down the best summer jams. His music definitely has a 80’s and 90’s vibe to it, which was manufactured in the studio, but just came naturally to Luis. He loves 90’s nostalgia and is obsessed with tv shoes from that era because it is what you grew up with.

Dubuc is not like other artists, whose music is usually heavily influenced by producers who tamper with its raw talent and originality. Instead, Dubus makes sure that his music is 100% his own. His music is what he loves and was made for his fans.
