fallbrooke.jpgOriginating in South Florida and currently residing in Los Angeles is up and coming alternative rock band Fallbrooke. Recent accomplishments include being played on TOP 40 radio, getting their song featured on the hit MTV show The Hills, and being named an “About to Pop” act on Popeater. In the summer of 2005, the band was formed by Eric McNeely (singer/guitarist) and Kevin Schwarz (drummer/singer). They started playing smaller shows locally in South Florida and experimented with different band mates and sounds. In March of 2007, they released their first album 26 Seconds alongside a tour to support it throughout the United States. Around this time, Chris Gustin (guitar) and Augusto Vega (bass) were added to the band. It is also during this time, they caught the eyes and ears of Paul Palmer, head of RMR Music Group. He would end up flying the band out and signing them. Shortly after signing, they entered the studio to work on their self titled second album.

The album is currently available online through retailers like Amazon and will be released in retail stores next year with some added tracks. The lead single off the album is a track titled Losin’ It about McNeely’s webcam romance. The track was part of a recent The Hills episode and the band describes the experience as pretty amazing. “That is the kinda thing that you imagine growing up as a kid. Once it actually happened it really makes you think about how bad you wanted that when you were younger and now you're actually at that point. It's pretty awesome.” Showing no signs of slowing down and being labeled as just another screaming emo one hit wonder band, their second single, “Take Me Under” is directed very cinematically and in a unique fashion. “It was probably the funnest thing we've done together as a band. It was a 3 day shoot and the longest day of shooting was from 6 pm to 6 am! The crew did an amazing job of creating different sets that we were either playing in or running away from zombies! Also the zombie girls in the video were amazing. They each had to go through several hours of hair and make up to end up looking like they did. Overall it was just an awesome time for us, everything from getting to play in a swamp to Eric getting to do some acting!”
