2009 may be over, but it's never too late to look back on our favorite 9 films of '09.
Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen Not only does this film have big time actors such as the beloved Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox, but this film has been directed by the best in Hollywood, J.J. Abrams. The storyline isn't as good as the first movie, but the effects and hot bodies will have your jaw on the floor, and for that reason alone it's worth seeing. ![]() Star Trek The beloved TV show is now on the big screen. No matter whether you were a fan of the show or not, the movie is phenomenal. The storyline, acting, and effects are top notch. Plus, you get to see hot new actors like Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. Not only that, actor John Cho, who played Harold from Harold and Kumar did an awesome job as Sulu. ![]() Twilight Saga: New Moon I think this one is self-explanatory as to why it made the list. This movie is an adaption of the novel written by Stephanie Meyers. Taylor Lautner makes the big transition from average human to super cool werewolf in New Moon, and shows off plenty of those sexy six-pack abs throughout. ![]() Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince Although many people have read Harry Potter, this movie is still able to get viewers startled and full of emotions! It is the perfect bad-guy versus good-guy movie. Tom Felton, who plays Malfoy, did an excellent job in portraying his character in this film. ![]() Up This is an excellent family movie because it truly shows the importance of love and will have everyone laughing. Jordan Nagai did a very impressive job as Russell considering he is only nine years old in real life! ![]() District 9 This movie is appropriate for all sci-fi lovers. Its plot is so inconceivable that your eyes are wide the entire movie, filled with suspense. ![]() Hannah Montana: The Movie You’d think that this movie is for giddy nine year olds but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Almost every teen has seen this movie (whether they openly admit it or not) and they love it – especially because of its great soundtrack, featuring "The Climb" and "The Ice Cream Freeze." ![]() The Hangover This is a crazy movie about a bunch of friends getting pretty “wild” in Sin City. The movie will have you rolling on the floor laughing. As far as comedies go, it doesn't get much better than this. ![]() This is It Nothing is better than getting an exclusive view of Michael Jackson’s life before the last moments of his life. This reminds us that he is the true “King of Pop.”
