 What makes a person sexy? Is it all about the way they look,
or can it be something more? I think for a person to truly be sexy or a sex
symbol, they must be more than simply hot. When it comes to actors, a major
part of this is in the roles they play or how they come across in interviews,
which is our way of glimpsing their true personality. As the years go on, more
and more people are being classified as sexy, but I’m here to bring you the top
five sexiest male actors.
First, we have Gregory Peck who was born in 1916. Now, his
name might not ring any bells or jog your memory in any way, especially if you
were born in the late 80’s and 90’s. In 1962, however, he played a role in a
black and white film that most people should be aware of. It was a little film
titled To Kill a Mockingbird, and Peck was none other than Atticus Finch. If
you seen this movie or even read the book, you know the role of Atticus is
admired by many.
He’s all about doing the right thing and being there for
your family, and Peck portrays him extremely well. Based on looks, Peck was
very good looking, especially for his time, but again, being sexy is more than
that. I think playing a part such as Atticus Finch makes him exceedingly sexy.
After all, doesn’t a line like “There's a lot of ugly things in this world,
son. I wish I could keep 'em all away from you” make you swoon a bit?
Next up is Christopher Reeve who is the one and only
Superman. Sure, there have been others to play this role, but Reeve is the
quintessential one. Superman personifies courage and power which can be very
sexy to a lot of people. In this role, Reeve is idolized and admired by many,
and will continue to be for years to come.
George Clooney is our third sexiest male actor of all time.
Having acted since 1978, he is still going strong and looking as good as ever.
Some people don’t age gracefully, whether you are a celebrity or not. Clooney,
thankfully, does not have this problem and even if his roles are a bit crazy,
like in Burn after Reading, he simply looks good doing it. More than that
though is his ability to be romantic, funny, and powerful all at the same time.
After Clooney, we have another very talented actor, Johnny
Depp. His ability to play off-the-wall characters with such finesse is one
reason Depp would be considered sexy. It also doesn’t hurt that no matter what
he’s wearing, he seems to look good. Consider his roles in Willy Wonka and
Edward Scissorhands; he makes odd balls beautiful, through his acting and his
looks.
Our fifth and final sexiest male is more of a newcomer
compared to the rest. Diego Luna has been acting for awhile, but most people
will recognize him from Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights in the role of Javier
Suarez, or simply, the main guy who dances really well. Alongside this movie,
he’s appeared in a drama/comedy by the name of Criminal, as Michael Jackson in
Mister Lonely, and will appear in the upcoming movie Milk.
As you can see, being classified as sexy is based on looks,
but it takes more than that. You have to have the personality and the talent.
If you combine them all, you’re unstoppable.
