killers.jpgAshton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl star in one of the hottest films opening this weekend, Killers! We caught up with the stars in LA recently and even tweeted with Ashton (@teenscene) to chat about the movie, check out what Ashton and Katie had to say.

In the new film “Killers” directed by Robert Luketic who also brought you “The Ugly Truth” and “Legally Blonde” brings romance, comedy and action together in one.  Jen (Katherine Heigl) and Spencer (Ashton Kutcher) are newlyweds whose lives turn upside down when Spencer’s secret of once being an international spy and hit man is revealed. Ashton said, “I was looking for a movie like this.  A fun, entertaining, action comedy. This kind of movie hasn’t been made in a while.” To get fit for his role Ashton states, “I bought a DVD off the TV, those exercise tapes and watched it to get in shape."

This is Katherine’s second movie with Luketic.  They previously worked on “The Ugly Truth”.  When Katherine isn’t busy making movies, she is now a proud mother of her little girl Naleigh . “I’m so grateful to be a Mom and it changed my whole perspective in a good way.“

The film also costars Tom Selleck and Catherine O’Hara as Katherine Heigl’s parents.  Ashton commented on Tom’s famous mustache by saying, “Tom’s mustache is the kin to Chuck Norris’s beard.”  Would Ashton ever try growing a mustache? “I’ve been trying to grow that mustache since I’ve been trying to grow facial hair.”

Ashton also plays a role as a producer on the film.  “For me this film was about that guy or girl on a Friday night that gets off work and just wants to take a ride. To be entertained and let loose. “

Give Killers a shot when it opens tomorrow, June 4th in theaters everywhere! Check out the trailer below.
