kstew.jpgVampires, theme parks, Ryan Reynolds, and werewolves. Best known as her character Bella Swan in the Twilight Saga, Kristen Stewart, was born April 9th,1990 in Los Angeles, California to parents already very much involved in the entertainment industry. Her dad, John, is a stage manager and television producer who has worked for Fox and her mother, Jules, is a script supervisor. From sharing kisses with Edward Cullen to Ryan Reynolds, Kristen is a seasoned actress with more under her belt than just Bella Swan. Kristen’s first major role was “Panic Room” where she played Jodie Foster’s diabetic daughter. After the success of “Panic Room,” Kristen was cast in another thriller, “Cold Creek Manor”, where she played the daughter of Dennis Quaid and Sharon Stone's characters. However, Kristen's most critically celebrated role has been the television film “Speak.” Kristen played a high school freshman Melinda Sordino, who stops talking after being raped. Kristen received great praise despite only having a few speaking lines, but kept up a dark-witted commentary throughout the film.

In 2005, Kristen played Lisa, the older sister of two boys in the fantasy-adventure film “Zathura.” In 2007, Kristen played teenager Lucy Hardwicke in “In the Land of Women,” a romantic drama starring Meg Ryan and Adam Brody. That same year, Stewart starred in Sean Penn's critically acclaimed film “Into the Wild,” opposite Emile Hirsch.

On November 16, 2007, Summit Entertainment announced that Kristen would play Isabella Swan in the movie “Twilight”, based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire romance novel of the same name. After the release of “Twilight,” Kristen Stewart was awarded the MTV Movie Award for Best Female Performance.

newmoon.jpgWe caught up with Kristen to ask her a few questions about the latest installment in the "Twilight Saga." So, what is Kristen most excited about in New Moon? “A lot more is introduced, like the world of the werewolves comes alive, and the second movie is much more quaint. Edward leaves her, which is interesting, considering the first movie is based entirely on their devotion to each other. So to see them cope without each other and to see this character, Jacob, who is supposed to represent light and warmth. It’s a different story now.”

Has The Twilight Saga changed her life and did she ever expect all of this? “I don’t have a grand plan. I don’t scope things out. I don’t look at a project and how it relates to others. It’s not like, ‘Oh this is the next step and this is probably smart for me.’ Adventureland, for example, was something that I wanted to do because the characters were easy to invest in. It’s just there to be played. They played like real people – you feel responsible for someone that you feel will die right on the page unless you bring them to life. Whenever you feel that, it is something worthwhile. But with regard to Twilight, it’s made it easier to do things that I really like, things that like an independent movie that nobody would normally see. Now it’s like, ‘Oh let’s go see Bella in this stripper movie; it’ll be crazy!’ [Laughs]”

And that stripper film is called “Welcome to the Rileys," which Kristen tells us about. The movie stars “James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, who is just incredible. It was the most fruitful life-changing experience on a movie that I've ever had. It was just the hardest subject matter I've ever had to deal with. I play a very broken young girl who is a runaway. She’s a street kid. She’s working in a strip club and James Gandolfini’s character is just as sort of dead inside and they wake each other up. It’s really good.”

Catch Kristen Stewart, along with Rob Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in New Moon in theaters now. Given the film has already made hundreds of millions in the past few days it's likely you've already seen it, so tell us below what you thought of the movie and Kristen.
