While some people have the workout bug embedded in them, others do not. If you are anything like myself and love to shop, then you can appreciate the motivation a name brand wardrobe can give you to jumpstart your workout routine. Many name brand stores are beginning to sell workout attire and with the holiday season upon us, why not add some of these cute, but functional workout items to the wish list?
When it comes to comfort and fit, what you wear on top and bottom are the most important. The styles are endless when it comes to making a choice. Below are a few options: Sports Bras are the most skin bearing, although from what I hear the most comfortable. However, it is important to keep in mind that the bra must support you. In fact, brands such as Nike suggests what cup size a particular bra is perfect for. Store: Nike Price: $28.00 Pros: Dri- Fit removes sweat from body Tank tops are by far the most popular and versatile. These tops can be worn in any environment and are relatively cheap. The designs are more modest as well and usually available in numerous colors. Option B: Spaghetti Strap Knit Top Store: Forever21 Price: $13.80 Pros: This top is very versatile-- can be worn alone or as a layer underneath something for added warmth. Cons: Depending on the fabric, the top may be too thin. Also, it's ability to dry won't be as fast as the Dri-Fit technology. Bottoms are important as well when it comes to performance and functionality. Stores have many fits of bottoms that range from fit, semi-fitted and relaxed. Not only are there numerous fits, but there are also different lengths from pants length to short shorts and everything else in between for all climate types. Here are some options: Store: Nike Price: $28.00 Pros: These shorts can be worn for any workout activity. They are short enough for ladies who train hard and cute enough for ladies who just walk around the track. Cons: Not fit for cross-country or long runs. If you aren’t comfortable with pulling your shorts every so often this is not a must-buy for you. Option B: Banded Contrast Pants Store: Forever21 Price: $17.80 Pros: The loose fit allows for mobility. Option A: Reebok EasyTone Passion Store: Reebok Price: $129.99 Pros: The Reebok EasyTone tennis shoes are stylish, yet functional. For ladies that walk on the regular, these are right up your alley. These shoes are advertised as being able to shape your behind while you walk and are versatile enough to wear whenever you may feel the need. Cons: Cost
