oscars_hottest.jpgThe 82nd annual Oscars is the best of the best in movies, television, and of course fashion. Once you walk the red carpet in your dress, it is forever on the internet, featured on blogs, and fashion focused websites and of course Teen Scene. Here are the hottest styles of the latest Oscars award show of 2010.
Red/Nude Lips
The color red is often associated with beauty, love, lust and passion. At the Oscars, however, beauty was the front runner for many actresses as they painted their lips red to take the walk down the red carpet for the 2010 Oscars on March 7th.

Red wasn’t the only color that was stealing the spotlight. Many actresses opted for nude lipstick that was subtle as well as in style. Nude has been in style recently with nude-colored pumps and now the lips. This is an interesting trend to try if you are looking for something new and different.

One Shoulder
This type of dress, in my opinion, will never go out of style. You just can’t lose when you choose a one-shouldered dress. It's classic and can be embellished on the shoulder for added flair and personality.
Queen Latifah held her own on the red carpet in a lavender one shouldered dress that was embellished with silver beads as well as Chopard jewelry which made the dress even more exquisite. Tina Fey also rocked a one shouldered dress in black lace by American designer Michael Kors.

Character
2010 Oscars brought out the quirkiness of actresses young and old. Jennifer Lopez wowed in a white dress with poise and grace and Zoe Kravitz, and Zoe Saldana,  represented for the young ladies that love to live on the edge and express their style and individuality.

Colors
The Oscars was a rainbow of color, from electric blue, to tangerine and even the more subtle champagne and white. Sandra Bullock wowed red-carpet watchers with her champagne dress that showed off her shape fabulously. Not only was it simple but the Marchesa designed dress added flair with the lace detail that is impeccable. We can’t forget about Demi Moore who dominated the Oscar red carpet with a nude ruffled dress by Atelier Versace.

Electric Blue
Gabourey Sidibe also rocks a Marchesa gown in electric blue with silver flower detail placed at the bust and the waist. This color is perfect for stars wanting to stand out but be subtle as well. Sidibe’s “Precious” co-star Monique must have gotten the memo because she was also rocking the electric blue look. Putting a twist on the electric blue scheme was Maggie Gyllenhaal who wore a printed electric blue strapless number with a splash of yellow and black.

Hairstyles
Many of the women that walked the red carpet for the 82nd annual Oscars wore a similar style, the side part. Sandra Bullock wore her hair in side part as did Kate Winslet, the difference being that Winslet curled hers for a different look. Miley Cyrus, Zoe Saldana, and Queen Latifah went simple and chic in an updo that highlighted their face and left all of the attention on their dress.  This look is for people who do not want to take the spotlight off of their outfit and look chic and elegant.

Overall, the 82nd annual Oscars showcased the impeccable style of Hollywood’s elite with the red lips and the one-shouldered dresses being the star of the show.
