Whether playing a high school cheerleader on Heroes or posing for photo shoots and on the red carpet, Hayden Panettiere ‘s hairstyles scream girl-next-door sexiness! She’s the girl all the guys want to date and all the girl’s want to look like. She’s the type of girl who you know doesn’t have to try to fit in because she is always herself and that self confidence is super sexy these days. From elegant updos to lettin’ it all down, Hayden Panettiere has got our eyes on her. Now you too can get one of Hayden’s red carpet hairdos by following these simple steps!

You’ll need the following tools before getting started:
  • Round blow dry brush
  • Blow dryer
  • Flat iron
  • Blow dry lotion
  • 2-4 small bobby pins
  • Extra small hair tie
  • Anti-frizz/shine serum
  • Medium hold hairspray

Begin by washing and conditioning hair. Try using a heat activated shampoo and conditioner, if possible. Towel dry hair and apply a dime size amount of blow dry lotion to damp hair. This will protect your hair from the excess heat of the hair dryer, especially if a heat activated shampoo and conditioner were not used. Then set the blow dryer on medium heat and blow out ½ inch chunks starting from root to tip. It’s okay if your hair is not 100% pin straight, that’s what we have the flat iron for! Once your hair is dry it’s time to add some style with a braid wrapping over from ear to ear! You can choose to either use a side part of your hair down the middle depending on what you like. Be sure to preheat your flat iron to about 300-350 degrees. Starting from the part, separate hair into (3) ¼ inch pieces and begin a braid, continually adding in hair along the way until you reach the back of your ear. Once the braid is complete you can hold it in place with a small bobby pin. Repeat the braid process for the other side. If you have long hair, be sure to fasten both sides together in a low ponytail underneath the rest of your hair so it’s hidden! Now that your braids are done, your flat iron should be hot enough for that sleek, pin straight look. Starting from root to tip in ½ inch pieces pull the iron down with enough force to get the straightness desired. The stronger the hold, the straighter the look. Once you have flat ironed your entire head the only steps left to do is rub a dime size amount of anti-frizz/shine serum into hands and run hands through hair to get that red carpet shine! And finally, be sure to spray medium hold hair spray to the braids to keep them in place.

With your hair looking fabulous, it's time to put on that glamorous dress and makeup and go ahead and walk your own red carpet!
